Test Outside Mean/SD is one of the large 'Test' family of mapping formats.

It checks if the numeric value of a field lies outside of the limits calculated from the mean and standard deviation at that node.

Test Outside Mean/SD

The figure shows the field, Call Duration, from the 'Telephone Calls' example mapped using Test Outside Mean/SD. Records are counted to 'True' if they lie outside of a range formed by mean plus or minus 3 standard deviations..

This is a very powerful mapping format and has lots of applications in such things as scientific analysis, money laundering detection and performance management.

See Test Outside Mean/SD in the Help for more details.
