Daisy Standard or Daisy 2003 is the recommended version of Daisy for the user who wants to process up to ten million records of data in many different types of database.
It is always called Daisy Standard in the documentation to avoid confusion with the generic name Daisy. In the caption for the program it is called Daisy 2003.
Features of the standard version of Daisy include :-
- The ability to draw Daisy Charts, circular and active histograms of data held in CSV files and Microsoft Excel workbooks.
- Databases can be opened using a direct ADO connection.
- Daisy features a much more powerful mapping algorithm.
- Daisy can also handle profiles, which can hold settings between runs of the program and open databases and draw charts automatically.
- A maximum number of 10,000,000 records in a database can be processed.
- Up to 100,000 nodes and links can be generated in the Daisy Chart.
- A full set of aggregation types and mapping formats are allowed.
- Charts can also be saved directly as gif files.
- Databases can be saved in various formats. They can also be saved with a compatible template to create a new example.
- Help files can be edited directly by the program.
- This version can be driven externally using Microsoft ActiveX technology.
- Pages on the World Wide Web can be opened directly from the program.
This version of Daisy is installed in a simple register, download and install process.
