Date and Time Charts are a very powerful form of analysis that have many applications in the fields of quality control, fraud, traffic analysis etc.

Basically, by splitting a database by say 'Day of the Week' and 'Hour of the Day' a pattern often emerges that gets to the heart of the problems or strengths of the data.

Date and Time Chart

Date and Time Charts are a special form of Daisy Chart where the following conditions have been applied :-

  • The first mapping field is usually the date mapped by a mapping format such as 'Day of Week'.

  • The second mapping field is usually the time mapped by a mapping format such as 'hour'.

  • Extra mapping fields can be added as required.
