If the functionality of Daisy Lite is sufficient for your data, you can easily put your data into comma-separated files or Microsoft Excel workbooks and you have less than 10,000 records, then that version is probably sufficient for your needs.

Note that the upgraded Daisy Lite Plus has a few extra features and can handle up to 1,000,000 records.

If you want to access large simple databases, Microsoft Access files and use profiles, then you will need the Standard or ADO version,

From Daisy 2003 onwards these are now the same.

There is also an Educational version of Daisy, which is the same as Daisy Lite. This is free to all bona-fide educational establishments.
