Break - Time

This mapping format takes a time value and splits it into up to five nodes defined by break values.

See Break for more details on how Break - Time works.

Note that the related mapping format, Shifts, can be used to map times to a shift pattern, such as 6 to 2, 2 to 10 and 10 to 6.

Note that this is very much a recommended mapping format as it creates a limited set of nodes, which are easier to view and analyse.

Consider mapping the times of purchases in a shop. If you were to map these directly you would probably get almost as many nodes as times to ascertain anything of value. But using Break - Time will produce a small number of nodes split appropriately.
