Telephone Calls

The Daisy Chart is a graphical representation of the telephone calls made by a series of fax machines used to deliver documents.

This Daisy analysis is very common and is one of the most powerful. A special additional program called Daisy TMS is available for the analysis of telephone calls and the production of bills and reports.

The data has been analysed into four sets of nodes, each of which is shown as an arc of the circular Daisy Chart. These are Date as Day of the Week, Time as Hour of the Day, Call Duration and Exchange Called.

Two histograms are shown on each node; the green shows the Number of Calls and the cyan the Total Call Time.

Note the failed calls, which caused a large amount of expense. This resulted in extra checks being made on the use of the fax machines. One machine was found to have an intermittent modem fault and was repaired.

This example has been setup to be printed as portrait.

It is recommended that the example is redrawn with the chart size set to Printer Portrait and High Resolution before it is actually printed.
