Install

Installation of Daisy is a very simple process :-

1. Check you have enough space on your hard disc.

   Daisy needs about 100 Mb.

2. Run the install program.

3. Enter the install password into the program when requested.

4. Answer all the questions to enter such things as the install directory and the program group.

   In most installs, just answer each with the default.

Very rarely does the program not install correctly, as most computers now are of a very much more than adequate size to run Daisy.

Problems that may occur are :-

• Messages may say that a particular program was unable to self-register.

  This is caused by the user not having the right privileges on the computer. See your system manager or log on as 'Administrator'.

• On some computers, problems may occur with CD-Rom versions of the install program.

  Download a new version from the Internet or copy the install program to your hard disc.

All programs are installed in a program group of 'Daisy 2003' :-

• Daisy - Daisy
• Example Viewer - Daisy Example Viewer
• Low Level Test - The Low Level Test demonstrates the low level functions in Daisy
• Opener - Daisy Opener
• Viewer - Daisy Viewer
• Run Button - Daisy Run Button
• System Test - The System Test tests your computer for Daisy compatibility
