Link Limits sets the drawing limits for links in the Daisy Chart.
There are three main limits, which can be set to apply to all links :-
- Links can have both an upper and a lower limit. For a link to be drawn in a chart, the number of links between the pair of nodes, must lie in the defined range.
- Weighting applies a limit based on the value of the weighting of the link. This limit cannot be used unless the chart has been drawn with a weighting.
- Percentage can have both an upper and a lower limit, expressed as a value from 0 to 100. For a link to be drawn in a chart, its position in the ascending link sort order, must lie between the two values.
Thus, if the lower limit is 25, the first twenty-five percent of links will not be shown. This is a quick and simple way of eliminating low-level links to simplify a chart.
Note that Daisy will always show links of the same value, if at least one lies within the defined Percentage range.
All limits must be met for a link to be included in the chart.
Note that when setting limits only, the calculations do not need to be performed to redraw the chart.
