Link To Excel - Distributing Data

Take the simple example of an analyst, who is mining a database for perhaps possible fraud, in mortgages, telephones, benefits or whatever. He or she would then need to distribute his findings to those, who would do the actual investigation.

Using Daisy with Microsoft Excel is the ideal way to perform this task. The workbooks produced are easily distributed by say E-Mail, as they tend to be efficient files, that are recognised by all computer systems. You can also group several sets of data in one workbook as separate worksheets.

There is also the added advantage in that the recipient only has to have a copy of Microsoft Excel to view, print and process the data. No extra or specialist training is required.

Remember that you can use the Properties in the Excel workbook (Use Properties in the File menu!) to distribute comments as well, so that everything is in the same file.
