Alias

Sometimes after mapping a database, the names in the nodes may not be suitable.

As an example, if you use a Date mapping of Month, this produces a series of nodes with values of 1, 2, 3 etc. It would be much better if these could be Jan, Feb, Mar etc.

The change is accomplished by setting up a set of aliases for the node names, where 1 is replaced by Jan, 2 by Feb etc. Aliases are specific to particular mapping fields.

Aliases are setup in the Nodes and Links Format dialog and stored in templates.
